Microsoft Hits Spyware on the Head!

Microsoft Battles spyware When I first heard that Microsoft had a test version for a spyware blocker / remover software, I was barely doubtful. Why now? What the heck took so long? I have seen users use anti-spyware programs that do more harm than good. The results were simply glorious.

For the PC that I attempted the Microsoft Anti-Spyware on, the program found slightly below 70 examples of Spyware now running on the PC. PurtyScan popup adverts that trick users into installing by claiming to find and remove lewd photographs. Has been reported to display porn, pop-ups, and to hijack homepage and Web searches. I have encountered multiple examples of Microsoft Office not able to open as it wasn't getting a 'go ahead' reply from Norton.
